Thoughts on the Season

We have played much improved baseball over the last couple of weeks.  That is just the beginning.  Along with being better at making plays and getting hits we haven't yet developed the right mindset.  In the last inning of our game on Saturday it was obvious that we didn't believe we could come from behind and win.  We kind of just gave up and wanted it to be over with.  Until athletes can believe in themselves they are never complete.  Having all the ability in the world will never translate in to being a winner.  Being a winner requires mind and heart as well as ability.

As we wind down the season (we only have a few games remaining) we want to say thank you for sharing your sons with us.  It has been a joy to get to know these young men.  There has been improvement in many areas from first hits to great plays in the field.  We wish all of the young men the best Summer possible and hope that they will continue working on their skills.  Much thanks to Brent and Brandon and all who have made our season possible.  We could never adequately tell them how much we appreciate their efforts.  We have two games on Monday night and we hope to show up ready not just to play but to win!  Go Sliderz!!
